Conference Theme: Religion in the Public Square: the Gifts, the Challenges
The Fellowship of Catholic Scholars Canada invites proposals for papers for a conference on the theme of Religion in the Public Square: the Gifts, the Challenges. As the freedom of religion is being increasingly undermined in Canada through decisions made by the Supreme Court and laws passed by the federal government, particularly under the Liberals, we are challenged to respond in defense of our religion and its values. We are seeking papers by serious and judicious scholars who appreciate the challenges Canadians are facing and who can suggest responses to them.  Papers may approach the topic from any number of disciplines, including the theological, the philosophical, the literary, the historical, the sociological, and others.
If you are interested in presenting at this annual conference, please send an abstract of 300 words to:
Miriam Westen, MEd, MTS, MA Th.
Email: westenmiriam@gmail.com
We request that abstracts be submitted ASAP.
All papers approved for the conference will be considered for publication in the Fellowship’s peer-reviewed journal, Fidelitas.
